Meet Our Ambassadors
Rosie Jones
Rosie Jones, known primarily for her comedy appearances and stand up, is also an established writer and actor. Rosie has cerebral palsy and is a well-known and forceful spokesperson for the rights of disabled people. Rosie has been an inspiration to people with disabilities through her work on stage and screen.
Rosie said: "I am incredibly honoured to be named as an Ambassador for Small Steps. As a person with cerebral palsy, I know how important it is for disabled people to get the support they need, especially in their formative years. Small Steps is an amazing charity, and I hope to play a part in the work they do.”
Edwin Thomas
Edwin Thomas, British actor and producer, working extensively in theatre, TV and film. Edwin has a largely invisible form of cerebral palsy as a result of injuries at birth. He is also a trained Feldenkrais practitioner and is the Founder of ORCA Lab - an inter-disciplinary hub across Education, Media and Health.
Edwin said about being an Ambassador for Small Steps: “It feels like it could be the start of something fantastic. I'm honoured to be asked and can't wait to start collaborating.”
Milo Pissarro
Miles Pissarro (aka Milo) started at Small Steps in January 1998 aged 2. He attended two sessions a week with his mum and was one of the first cohort of families to benefit from the service. In August 1999 Milo graduated on to Greenmead nursery full time for a year before joining a local mainstream primary school. In 2007 he joined The London Oratory School for his secondary education through to 2014. In 2017 Milo was awarded a First-Class Honours degree in Creative Writing after a three-year period of study at Roehampton University. In 2018-2020 Milo read Political Theory at The London School of Economics, completing his MSc and being awarded a Merit.
In 2018 Milo completed an internship at Small Steps.
